Fiona is a Brisbane based Makeup Artist and Body Painter with 12 years of experience across retail, commercial, editorial, film, photography and fashion weeks. Her fascination with fashion and makeup kicked off in London, as a hair model for Toni & Guy, where she quickly discovered that her favourite part of modelling was the creative makeup involved in the fashion shoots.

She began a retail job at Dior where she enjoyed being surrounded by amazing products and was inspired by talented colleagues. With determination to learn new skills, Fiona took a number of short courses at London College of Fashion, which helped take her understanding of the world of makeup, fashion and creativity to the next level.

The next few years saw Fiona work as a makeup artist and Manager at Nars and branching out to enjoy the flexibility of freelancing for a time after the birth of her son, before landing her dream job with MAC in London. Fiona worked with MAC for 7 years, gaining cutting edge skills, training and valuable insights into the real world of fashion and makeup. She earned a coveted place on MAC’s body painting team and enjoyed painting for prestigious charity events, promotions and ad campaigns as well as competing in the World Body Painting Festival in Austria.

With a constant thirst for knowledge and desire to grow her skill set, Fiona continued her education with Special FX courses at the renowned Charles Fox in Covent Garden where she gained knowledge and contacts that helped her grow as an artist and chase the makeup career she wanted. Earning a role in MAC’s events team, Fiona worked on award shows, major promotional events and London Fashion Week.

Leaving her native UK to relocate to Brisbane, Australia with her family in 2015, Fiona continues to ply her craft in her new hometown with passion and dedication to perfection. Since moving to Australia she has worked to build up her own business as an independent Makeup Artist, taking on work for private clients as well as doing TV commercials, Hollywood films, editorials, competitions and look books.

Fiona draws on her global network to keep tabs on the latest products and tools, techniques and emerging trends. She prides herself on her ability to remain relevant in a fast-paced and constantly changing industry. She draws inspiration from her favourite artists like Topolino, Kabuki and Val Garland and looks forward to make her mark on the Australian fashion and makeup scene.
